Pals and Paws Pet Services is owned and operated by Barbara Trulio and Cindy Surridge. Barbara and Cindy met many years ago while working in the corporate world and immediately developed a friendship that has endured for over 15 years. Both Cindy and Barbara were continually pet sitting for friends and each other's pets and came to realize there was a need for quailty in-home pet care. In 2006 they formed Pals and Paws Pet Services and have been happily watching their business thrive since.

Both owners have cherished pets, and each has a dog with special needs. Barbara has Bear, a diabetic chocolate Lab that requires injections twice a day, and Cindy had Sandy, a shepherd mix with extreme separation anxiety that caused her to be very destructive if left alone without plenty of exercise and attention.

In 2002 Barbara’s pup Bear, was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes requiring two insulin injections a day, and as a working professional with long hours and a demanding schedule, her personal quest for someone to administer injections and care for her pets when she and her husband were away from home, revealed the very limited resources available. At the same time, Cindy was dealing with her White Shepherd, Sandy, who had very severe separation anxiety and could not be left alone for long periods of time. Sandy left us in 2007 after turning 15 years old, and we haven’t forgotten her or the special attention pets like her require. As a result, after years of careful research, Cindy and Barbara determined that the time was right to start a pet sitting business.

These two "pals" and former professionals understand the difficulties involved with meeting the needs of pets while pursuing a demanding career. For your peace of mind, Pals and Paws Pet Services will make the day more enjoyable for you and your pets by providing reliable, loving care and ensuring that all your pets' special needs are met while they remain in the comfort of their own home.
